chov andulek
Andulku můžeme chovat buď v kleci nebo ve voliéře. Pro jeden pár stačí klec o rozměrech 60 x 40 x 40 cm. Klece lze koupit již hotové. Jsou celé kovové, a tak se nemůžou andulky dostat ven. Jako všichni papoušci totiž mají velkou sílu v ostrém zobáku a časem si poradí i s dřevěnými sloupky. Výhodou kupovaných klecí je i vyjímatelné dno, které snadno umyjeme. Do klece umístíme bidýlka - přírodní větvičky z nejedovatých dřevin tak silné, aby je pták téměř ale ne docela) obemkl prsty.
Je samozřejmé, že čím větší klec ptákům dopřejeme, tím je to pro ně lepší, protože se mohou proletět. Mnozí chovatelé, kteří chovají jednoho nebo dva papoušky, nechávají andulky proletět po bytě. To je v pořádku, ale musíme dbát na to, aby nezůstalo otevřené okno, nebyly zapnuté elektrické spotřebiče, nezůstala odklopená nádoba s horkou vodou apod. Ve venkovní voliéře mohou žít andulky po celý rok, protože jsou velice otužilé. Snášejí i mrazy do - 15 °C, je však nutné jim zajistit chráněné závětří. Stačí potáhnou rohové stěny rohoží a připevnit stříšku. Stejně jako klec je i voliéra nejvhodnější celokovová. Rozhodně nelze použít síť z provazů nebo umělé hmoty, protože tu andulky rozkoušou. V žádné kleci nebo voliéře nesmí chybět jemnější propraný písek, který andulky polykají a pomáhají tak rozmělnit tvrdá semena. Stejně tak nesmí chybět ani nádoba s vodou na pití, případně vanička na koupání. Aby se z ní ptáci snadno dostali, položte do vody plochý kámen.
